This initiative, set to launch on April 1st, aims to facilitate vital conversations about the challenges young people face in today's society.
📚 Supporting Resources for Schools & Parents
In collaboration with the healthy relationships charity Tender, Netflix will provide guides and resources for teachers, parents, and carers. These resources, scheduled for release on May 1st, will help educators and families navigate the series' themes effectively.
🎤 Industry & Government Leaders Speak Out
Anne Mensah, Netflix's VP of UK Content, expressed pride in Adolescence's ability to spark important discussions:
"The show has captured the national mood, articulating the pressures young people and parents encounter today."
The announcement coincided with a roundtable discussion led by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, bringing together leaders from Tender, NSPCC, The Children’s Society, and Adolescence co-creator Jack Thorne, along with producers Emma Feller and Jo Johnson.
👨👩👧👦 Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer shared his personal perspective:

Jack Thorne, co-writer of Adolescence, highlighted the show's purpose:
"We made this show to provoke a conversation. We wanted to pose the question—how do we help stop this growing crisis? To have the opportunity to take this into schools is beyond our expectations."
